Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and strategic PR Specialist to design, execute, and continuously refine our public relations strategy. This role will play a critical part in shaping our brand narrative, increasing media visibility, and strengthening our reputation across key audiences. The ideal candidate is both a strong storyteller and a disciplined strategist who can translate business objectives into high-impact PR campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic PR Development- Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy aligned with company goals and brand positioning
- Identify key narratives, messaging frameworks, and thought leadership opportunities
- Support product launches, company announcements, partnerships, and executive visibility
- Media Relations- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and industry influencers
- Pitch stories, secure media coverage, and manage press inquiries
- Create and maintain targeted media lists by industry, geography, and topic
- Content & Messaging- Write and edit press releases, media pitches, talking points, FAQs, and bylined articlesEnsure consistent messaging across all PR and external communications
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership to refine brand voice and positioning
- Campaign Execution & Measurement- Plan and manage PR campaigns from concept to execution
- Track coverage, sentiment, share of voice, and campaign performance
- Prepare regular PR reports and insights with actionable recommendations
- Reputation & Issues Management- Monitor media coverage and brand mentions
- Support crisis communications planning and response when needed
- Help proactively identify and mitigate reputational risks
Qualifications
Required
- 3–6+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or related role
- Proven track record of securing earned media coverage
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Strong understanding of media landscapes and PR best practices
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Preferred
- Experience developing PR strategy for B2B, B2C, or tech-driven organizations
- Existing media relationships in relevant industries
- Familiarity with PR tools (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater)
- Experience supporting executive or thought leadership communications
