Project Assistant for a Small Boutique Consulting Firm

We are recruiting two Ghana-based Project Assistants to operations and social-impact projects. This role is ideal for someone who is structured, dependable, and comfortable working inside a task-driven operating system. You will support projects from planning through execution and close-out, working closely with a senior project lead and other contributors. This role starts at 10 hours per week and can scale to 30+ hours per week as projects grow. Working Hours (Non-Negotiable) Initial commitment: 10 hours per week Must be worked between 8:00am UTC and 4:00pm UTC As hours increase: Up to 30+ hours per week At least 50% of total weekly hours must fall between 8:00am–4:00pm UTC (We are building a collaborative, real-time working rhythm — availability during core hours matters.) Key Responsibilities Support projects from start to finish, including: Task coordination Follow-ups Status tracking Work daily inside Asana: Receive and execute task assignments Update task statuses accurately Respect task-level time and effort budgets Prepare clear written outputs, including: Project updates and progress reports Internal memos and summaries Professional email or stakeholder communications Track time accurately and consistently against tasks Flag risks, blockers, or scope issues early Maintain organized documentation and records Required Experience & Skills You must have all of the following: Ghana-based and able to work reliably during UTC business hours Proven experience using Asana (not just Trello or generic task tools) Participation in at least one social-impact or operations project that ran from start to finish Strong written communication skills: Comfortable writing reports, memos, and professional messages Experience working with: Task budgets Time tracking Delivery expectations Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable with accountability Nice to Have (Not Required) Background in operations, program delivery, or project coordination Experience supporting NGOs, foundations, public-interest projects, or multi-stakeholder initiatives Familiarity with structured project systems or PM frameworks How to Apply Please include: A brief summary of your relevant project experience Confirmation that you: Are Ghana-based Can meet the UTC working-hour requirements One example of: A project you supported from start to finish Your level of experience with Asana (beginner / intermediate / advanced) Applications that do not address these points will not be considered.
