Personal Property Tax Specialist

About the position We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Temporary Personal Property Tax Specialist to support our tax team during a critical filing period. This role will be responsible for preparing and filing 100+ multi-state personal property tax returns, each with unique compliance requirements and deadlines. The ideal candidate is highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote environment. Responsibilities • Prepare and file personal property tax returns across multiple states, ensuring compliance with varying state-specific regulations and deadlines. , • Manage a diverse portfolio of filings—from simple to complex—while meeting all submission timelines. , • Coordinate internal approvals and signatures to keep filings moving forward efficiently. , • Collaborate with internal tax and finance teams to track due dates and required documentation. , • Maintain a full-time schedule (40 hours/week) in alignment with East Coast business hours. , • (Preferred) Use SAP to support return preparation and filing processes. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in preparing personal property tax returns; multi-state experience is a plus. , • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. , • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task completion. , • Strong follow-up and communication skills to ensure timely internal approvals. , • Availability to work full-time remotely while aligning with East Coast hours.
