Part-time Senior Accountant - Remote

Job Description Part Time Senior Accountant Remote: Must live in Eastern or Central Time Zone Do you love bringing messy books into order. We're hiring a remote, part-time Senior Accountant to work for one of our clients, a Top 100 Accounting Firm. This position will be on Innovative Outsourcing's payroll. This role is ideal for someone who specializes in clean-up work, is fluent in QuickBooks Online, and knows how to transition clients from Desktop to Online. You'll be working on high-impact projects that restore clarity to client financials. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple client relationships and clearly communicate findings to management Clean and correct historical accounting data (AR, AP, inventory, fixed assets, etc.) Identify trends, anomalies, and past errors; apply appropriate accounting treatment Prepare detailed schedules and correcting journal entries Ensure accuracy, clarity, and GAAP compliance, even with inconsistent records Lead conversions from QuickBooks Desktop to Online Recommend and implement process improvements Use third-party tools for reconciliations, data analysis, automation, and reporting Join recurring meetings and provide regular updates Must be available during business hours (9 AM-5 PM EST or CST) Qualifications 5+ years of accounting and QuickBooks Online experience Strong background in reconciliations and clean-up work Bachelor's in Accounting required; CPA preferred but not required Experience with QBO migrations from Desktop preferred Familiarity with apps like Gusto, ADP, BILL, and Ramp Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and intermediate to advanced Excel Prior audit or forensic accounting experience a plus Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, flexible environment Schedule and Expectations: 15-28 hours per week, with hours varying based on project flow Must be available during business hours, 9 AM to 5 PM EST or CST (Work is not done at night or on weekends, as client interactions take place during the business day).
