About the position Accufile is seeking an experienced, service-oriented Part-Time Research Law Librarian to support one of our law firm clients. This role is ideal for a skilled researcher with strong M&A, corporate, and legal research experience who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. This position is fully remote, with a hybrid option available for candidates located in the New York City metropolitan area. Availability during East Coast business hours is required. Responsibilities • Perform high-quality, in-depth legal, corporate, and business research in support of a law firm client’s attorneys, librarians, paralegals, and staff. • Conduct research related to M&A, corporate, and transactional matters. • Monitor and respond to research requests and coordinate workflow with Accufile research team members across locations. • Prioritize assignments, analyze and synthesize results, and deliver clear, concise research findings. • Learn and follow client-specific library policies, procedures, and research protocols. • Provide exceptional, responsive customer service. • Collaborate effectively with Accufile researchers and the client’s internal team to meet deadlines and expectations. Requirements • 5+ years of law firm library or research experience in a reference or research role, with strong legal and corporate research expertise. • Bachelor’s degree required. • Advanced knowledge of legal research platforms, including Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, and similar tools. • Experience with a wide range of fee-based and free electronic databases, subject-specific resources, and legal analytics tools. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain research findings. • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating with a distributed research team. • Reliable high-speed internet connection for remote work. Nice-to-haves • MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution or JD from an ABA-accredited institution preferred.
