Part Time Accounting Manager

About the Role GRD Books is a high quality provider of accounting and financial services, including fractional CFO, financial planning and analysis, and outsourced controller and bookkeeping, to small and medium businesses. GRD Books serves a broad variety of industries, including financial services, real estate, technology, mental health, and Ecommerce. We are seeking to hire an accounting manager to help scale our services and grow our client base. Key Responsibilities (Accounting): • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger accounting and financial report writing • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for a variety of clients to issue timely and complete financial statements in accordance with GAAP • Delight clients with expert guidance and support • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis • Assist in the on-going internal process improvement and automation to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of close • Help grow, develop, and empower a world-class team. Assist in onboarding, training, and management of new staff Requirements • 3+ years of experience working at a public accounting firm • CPA (may be inactive) • Tech-savvy and mastered Excel • Excellent written communication skills • Excellent attention to detail • A love of problem solving and making teams and processes more efficient • Experience with cloud ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, & Microsoft Dynamics • Experience in the financial services industry a plus • Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
