Position Purpose and Key Responsibilities

As a Yard Driver, you will be responsible for maintaining yard organization and safely spotting trailers at dock doors and throughout the yard. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient movement of trailers and equipment, while also updating trailer moves or any yard activity via a hand-held device.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely Spot Trailers: 80% of your time will be spent safely spotting trailers at dock doors and yard locations, driving yard trucks, and spotting at designated locations.
• Perform General Warehouse Tasks: 10% of your time will be spent performing general warehouse tasks as needed.
• Yard Auditing: 10% of your time will be spent ensuring yard accuracy by leveraging the Yard Management System.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Age and Work Permit: You must be 21 years of age or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Driver's License: You must have a valid, active Driver's License.
• Physical Ability: You must be able to load and unload heavy items and perform intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
• Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.
