Savvee Inc. is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Public Affairs Specialist to support our federal client remotely. The ideal candidate will develop and execute press and public affairs materials, support communications efforts, and coordinate media engagements and public events. They will be working within a centralized workflow and collaborating closely with senior staff to meet tight deadlines and ensure high‑quality, approved messaging.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Drafting and editing press statements, FAQs, talking points, and briefing materials for final approval.
• Executing Tier 2 and Tier 3 communications tasks.
• Supporting rapid response drafting under tight deadlines.
• Coordinating media interviews and engagements with stakeholders and the press.
• Preparing principals and spokespeople for appearances.
• Working within centralized intake and workflow system.
• Collaborating with senior staff on escalations and reviews.
• Leading the development of public events working across programs and divisions to coordinate due outs such as press calls, talking points, advisories, press releases, fact sheets, memos, and other materials for press and staff.
• Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING
• Bachelor’s degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
• Three or more years of experience
• Must have the ability to obtain the client’s Public Trust clearance
• Proven knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and hands-on experience applying AI solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A highly motivated self-starter
• Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills
