They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer II - IV to create designs, perform calculations, and coordinate with design teams on various projects. Responsibilities - Creating basic designs under the direction of senior engineers and/or senior designers - Performing equipment selections, and load/energy and pressure drop calculations for a variety of projects and project sizes - Representing Syska Hennessy Group and working in close contact with and effectively interacting with the internal design team as well as external clients and consultants - Coordinating with other disciplines and working in close contact with the entire design team - Conducting field inspections to determine existing conditions and coordinate new work - Assisting the Senior Engineer in preparation of due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis, and other technical reports and drawings using CAD/REVIT - Mastering drawing organization format and company standards - Taking ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments - Attending continuing education seminars on technical or professional enhancing topics Skills - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an Accredited Institution - Minimum of 18 months+ to 7+ years of relevant experience in the MEP field working with projects such as Aviation, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical - Latest version of AutoCAD MEP and REVIT required - Basic understanding of proper system selection - Basic knowledge of applicable codes - FE certification required - Strong REVIT and MEP skills from mark-ups through the production of detailed drawings - Basic knowledge of construction documentation and design phase requirements - Knowledge of trade specific design and calculation software including energy analysis software (eQuest, Trace, etc.) - Experience in Mission Critical, Science + Technology, Healthcare and interest in Project Management greatly preferred Benefits - Robust, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance and supplemental benefit plans - 401(k) plan with a generous employer matching program - Training and professional development courses - Professional development incentive bonuses - Dynamic Employee Resource Groups - Competitive Paid Time Off (PTO) policy - Transit/parking employer stipend - ½ day work from home Fridays all year long Company Overview - Consult ■ Engineer ■ Commission At Syska Hennessy Group, we create exceptional environments.
