Your Role:

As a SpEd Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Following and teaching lesson plans provided by the regular teacher
• Instructing based on subject and grade-specific curriculum
• Monitoring and assessing student achievements and outcomes
• Exercising classroom and behavior management skills
• Sharing your specialized knowledge to coach staff and support special education students

To Be Considered:

You will need to provide:

• An active Teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s)
• Substitute Authorization (must have or be in the process of obtaining if license is expired)
• Three professional references, with one from a previous direct supervisor
• Completion of a Background Check for Scoot Education and the Colorado Department of Education
