What you'll be doing day to day As an In-Home Kitchen Planner, initiating the kitchen planning process to create tailored design solutions, you will: • Accurately measure, interpret, and draw out installation space and upload the data in a timely manner, and within the IKEA requirements using IKEA technology. • Review layout of kitchen and all project paperwork with customer to ensure all components are correct and all measurements are accurate. • Utilize measurement and construction skills, combined with expertise in modular furniture planning and foundational design principles, to create tailored solutions that meet customers' needs. • Review appliance, electrical and plumbing locations to ensure they are captured on the measurement documents. • Resolve customer concerns with empathy, reinforcing IKEA values throughout each interaction. • Assess customers’ needs and promote the service that fits best. • Understand the store and department action plans. Actively contribute to achieving your department's goals. • Utilize in-depth knowledge of IKEA's products, services, and multi-channel solutions to ensure customers can shop conveniently, whether in-store or remotely, whenever and however they prefer. • Promote the IKEA commercial priorities by securing high quality services, in a cost and time effective way both in the home and in the store.
