Hybrid Weight Checker (3rd Shift)

Palermo's is looking for a 3rd shift weight checker at our facility in Jefferson, WI! 3rd Shift: 11pm-7:00am Responsibilities: • Ensure scale setup in red zone and check scale functions prior to Start Up of each shift • Performs frequent visual product reviews to assure an acceptable topping distribution and coverage • Take action if product is stacked off aside. Make sure product meets visual photo standard & target weight. • Ensure Photo standards are correct, available and displayed for each changeover • Confirm employees are trained on visual requirements, I.E. Crust, Sauce, Cheese, Toppings • Address quality issues with Line Leads, ingredient controllers and communicate concerns to Area Lead, Supervisor and Quality Auditors • Oversee product and topping weights are on target in both processing and packaging areas • Conducts Metal Detection, review Codes dates and complete ink jet print checks on product packages in packaging area. • Confirm correct forms are in use, all paperwork is filled out completely and accurately including: Red Zone, Pack Tally sheets, Temperature forms. Pizza weight forms, Hourly quality checks etc. • Audit changeover process to ensure changeover procedures are followed • Must understand HACCP ( Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) & ensure Palermo’s CCP ( Critical control point) procedure is followed • Confirms all WIP product and totes are properly identified correctly stacked and labeled • Able to support /backup the lead if absent, which includes: conducting training, Machine setup/making adjustments, monitor red zone/send out alerts, and assist in Visual Performance Board (s) • Maintain and ensure functionality of equipment necessary for position (iPad, scale, cart, Bluetooth, and all other accessories) Position Qualifications: • Ability to read, write and have basic verbal communication in English • Employee must display a good attendance record • Good communication skills • Ability to train on use of scales • Basic Computer Skills • Basic Math Skills Apply tot his job
