About the position The Human Resources Generalist at Zenith Insurance Company is responsible for overseeing and administering employee leaves and accommodations, ensuring compliance with various leave and disability regulations. This role provides support to employees during their leave of absence and offers consulting services to management and employees across multiple HR functional areas, including compensation, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, recruitment, onboarding, training, and employment law compliance. Responsibilities • Oversee the administration of employee leaves and accommodations companywide. • Provide strategic leadership for the Company's leave of absence and accommodation programs and policies. • Analyze, develop, and implement new or updated leave and accommodation policies and practices. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws, including FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation. • Consult with legal counsel and internal staff regarding leave and accommodation matters. • Create and deliver training programs on leave and accommodation compliance topics. • Manage leave/accommodation service partners and administrators as applicable. • Coordinate interactive process meetings and accommodation plans for employees under ADA regulations. • Serve as the point of contact for escalated or complex leave and accommodation matters. • Track and report on all leave benefits costs and reconcile HRIS leave data against external data sources. • Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding leave and accommodation inquiries. • Work as a strategic partner to business leaders to meet business goals while supporting employment laws and company values. • Assist with recruiting candidates for various positions and respond to HR-related inquiries from management and employees. • Conduct exit interviews and manage medium to large complex HR projects. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, business, or related field required. • 7+ years of experience in HR with a focus on leave administration and benefits required. • Knowledge of ADA, FMLA, USERRA, Workers Compensation, and other relevant regulations. • Strong project management skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to analyze metrics and make data-driven recommendations.
