About the position
The Healthcare Analyst I supports value-based care analytics initiatives by assisting with data collection, validation, standard reporting, and basic analysis across clinical, claims, and administrative data sources. This entry-level role works closely with senior analysts and managers to ensure data accuracy, support reporting deliverables, and develop foundational skills in population health and value-based care analytics. This is Hybrid in Verona, NJ - 3x a week. Not a remote role.
Responsibilities
• Data Collection & Validation
• Extract and compile data from EHR systems, claims files, and administrative sources
• Perform data cleaning, reconciliation, and quality checks
• Identify and escalate data discrepancies or missing information
• Maintain data dictionaries and documentation
• Reporting & Analysis Support
• Produce routine reports and dashboards using predefined templates
• Support quality and utilization reporting under guidance
• Assist with tracking basic KPIs such as utilization, care gaps, and quality measures
• Support audit preparation by validating source data
• Operational & Team Support
• Respond to routine data requests from internal stakeholders
• Assist with monthly and ad hoc reporting deliverables
• Support system implementations and data refresh processes
• Learn healthcare terminology, value-based care concepts, and payer requirements
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, healthcare, or related field
• Proficiency in Excel; introductory SQL experience preferred, Data Visualization Skills (Tableau/PowerBI Preferred)
• Basic understanding of healthcare data and terminology
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow defined processes and accept feedback

• The anticipated base annual salary for this role ranges from $65,000 to $75,000.
• This position offers an opportunity for annual target bonus based on individual performance and company financial performance.
