This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, expanding market share, strengthening supplier and winery relationships, and driving new revenue opportunities across the state. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a California-focused sales strategy aligned with company revenue goals.
Identify and close new business opportunities with wineries, beverage retailers, and strategic partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with major customers, retailers, and winery ownership groups.
Serve as the fulfillment sales subject matter expert, providing expertise in DTC, compliance driven fulfillment, warehousing, and 3PL logistic solutions.
Act as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders by supporting complex deal strategy, solution design, and sales execution related to fulfillment services.
Coach, mentor, and develop sales team members, providing guidance on deal strategy, pipeline management, value-based selling, and best practices to drive consistent performance.
Drive DTC fulfillment growth opportunities with compliance-sensitive winery and DTC solutions.
Sell complex 3PL, warehousing, fulfillment, and logistics solutions.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity within California.
Collaborate with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution.
Prepare accurate forecasts, pipeline reports, and revenue projections.
Negotiate high-value contracts, pricing agreements, and service terms.
Travel throughout California to meet clients and attend industry events.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
7+ years of progressive sales experience in logistics, fulfillment, wine & spirits, distribution, or related industries.
Established supplier, winery, and retail network throughout California.
Demonstrated experience serving as a sales subject matter expert in fulfillment, logistics, and 3PL solutions within a highly regulated environment.
Proven DTC sales leadership experience, including winery fulfillment growth strategies.
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and influence, sales professionals translating product and market knowledge into scalable sales success.
Experience with CRM systems, forecasting tools, and sales analytics.
Strong individual contributor mindset with proven success building and closing strategic opportunities.
Ability to travel frequently within California.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary range: $150,000 – $175,000
Uncapped commissions ($225,000 - $325,000 base plus commissions OTE)
