Freelance Financial Controller - Bookkeeper - Apparel & E-commerce Experience

Description: • Gotyu Underwear is looking for an A-Player financial controller to help achieve revenue and profit goals. • Develop detailed financial forecasts, manage P&L statements, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. • Collaborate closely with founders and contribute to achieving a company-wide profit target of 20%. Requirements: • Master's Degree or equivalent in Financial Controlling, Accounting, or related field with 2+ years of experience (please provide certificates) • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Bookkeeper, or similar role in the e-commerce sector • Demonstrated success working for an e-commerce brand managing over 800 SKUs • Experience in fashion e-commerce is a significant plus • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail • Proficiency in financial forecasting, profit optimization, and cash flow management • Familiarity with Finaloop or similar financial software • In-depth knowledge of U.S. financial regulations and best practices for e-commerce businesses, especially with extensive product catalogs • Expert-level proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools • Strong understanding of inventory management and its financial implications • Knowledge of international tax regulations and transfer pricing • Ability to develop and implement financial controls and risk management strategies • Experience in preparing financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP • Strong communication skills to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders • Proactive problem-solving approach and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment • Certification such as CPA, CMA, or CIMA is highly desirable • Fluency in English is required; German language skills are a plus.
