The Lock Desk Specialist role is a critical component of our Mortgage Lending Operations, focusing on supporting the Lock Desk Manager in processing rate lock, change, and extension requests. This position requires a deep understanding of rate lock policies and the ability to enforce them while providing exceptional support to our team. Key Responsibilities
- Process Management: Efficiently process rate lock requests using Encompass, ensuring clear and effective communication with requestors as needed.
- Request Handling: Manage change requests, reprice requests, and extension requests, while assisting Loan Officers with post-lock file inquiries.
- Collaboration and Implementation: Work closely with the Mortgage Department Team to implement system changes, test new processes, and enhance process flows.
- Support and Inquiry Management: Assist with system, product, and procedural inquiries, ensuring that all stakeholders have the information they need to perform their roles effectively.
- Pipeline Monitoring: Monitor pipeline locks and collaborate with sales and operations teams to determine necessary actions, ensuring that our mortgage lending operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
