About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Remote Health Care Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a member of our Customer Experience team, you will play a vital role in handling telehealth-based phone calls and email inquiries, providing support and solutions to patients and healthcare professionals. Your excellent communication skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities will enable you to deliver positive experiences and make a real difference in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of incoming calls and emails from patients and healthcare professionals, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Provide support and guidance on insurance verifications, benefits education, billing questions, prescription issues, and technical challenges, including real-time support during time-sensitive situations
- Navigate multiple systems and applications to access patient information and resolve issues efficiently
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and escalate concerns as needed
- Consistently meet or exceed performance metrics, including call quality, customer satisfaction, and productivity standards
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or college degree
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and healthcare professionals
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing time effectively
- Availability to work weekends and flexible hours, including evenings and holidays
- High-speed internet connection and a distraction-free work environment
- Ability to type 40 words per minute with 96% accuracy
- Successful completion of a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology, insurance plans, and medical procedures
- Experience with telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHRs)
- Certification in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
