Key Responsibilities
As an Enterprise Data Storage Administrator at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and maintaining enterprise data storage systems, including NAS, SAN, and DAS conditions
- Implementing and maintaining enterprise backup and data security technologies
- Efficiently managing and monitoring reporting platforms and software
- Defining and implementing storage capacity planning strategies, based on industry standards and best practices
- Collaborating with application, database, server, and other technology teams on architecture and configuration selection
- Providing technical support and guidance on complex activities, such as installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations
- Performing code updates and security patching to maintain the integrity of storage systems
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 3+ years of experience in data storage or a related field, with emphasis on networking and storage protocols
- Industry knowledge and experience with large-scale SAN design and implementation
- Proven expertise in enterprise storage administration, with skill in DellEMC, Cisco, and similar OEMs
- Strong understanding of current and emerging data protection technologies
- Experience with NAS concepts and protocols (CIFS, NFS, and S3)
- Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS
- Operating system administration skills (both Linux and Windows)
- VMWare concepts and administration
