Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to individuals, families, and small group employees via phone, email, or other communication channels
- Utilize the State's eligibility and enrollment portal and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to perform tasks and duties for customers
- Assist customers with eligibility and enrollment for Medicaid and services applications and enrollments for Qualified Health Plans on the Exchange
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and escalate complex problems to senior representatives or management as needed
- Meet or exceed performance metrics, including quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction targets
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills
Essential Qualifications
- Must be a resident of the state of Maryland
- Call Center experience is mandatory for this role
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficient in using computers, software applications, and technology, including CRM software and eligibility and enrollment portals
- Must have a personal computer with at least an i5 processor or higher and a high-speed internet connection
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the healthcare or insurance industry
- Knowledge of Medicaid, Qualified Health Plans, and other health insurance programs
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and eligibility and enrollment portals
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
- Certifications in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
