Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate to join our team. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional client experiences, processing transactions, and providing support to our pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities
- Model and convey a positive and excellent client experience, ensuring that all customers receive considerate, fair, and professional service
- Register sales on assigned sales register, provide clients with efficient checkout service, and process transactions accurately
- Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including utilizing pharmacy systems to acquire patient and medication information and process prescriptions
- Engage clients and patients by greeting them, offering help with products and services, and resolving customer issues to ensure a positive experience
- Model and offer client support best practices with all colleagues, including relational habits and arenaflex service qualities
- Perform tasks as assigned by the Pharmacy Director, Staff Pharmacist, and Senior Manager, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and medication data, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy
- Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to organization policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program
- Handle calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians, and process manual claims for third-party program prescription services
- Assist and support the Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, receiving, checking, and storing shipments of medications
- Maintain knowledge of organization asset protection methods and record claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged products, including Rx drugs
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (except in Puerto Rico)
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
- Strong numerical abilities, including counting, measuring, and weighing prescriptions
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control
Preferred Qualifications
- At least six months of experience in a retail environment
- Previous work experience with arenaflex or a similar organization
- PTCB certification or willingness to obtain certification through the designated PTCB training program
- Good numerical abilities, including counting, measuring, and weighing prescriptions
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control
