We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Customer Service Representative to join our Sleep Central After-Hours Call Center team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contacting patients regarding equipment delivery, taking orders, verifying patient information, and ensuring timely order processing. Overview and Responsibilities
Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Patient Care Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will work from home, contacting patients, taking orders, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe patient profiles over the telephone, including data entry and possible outbound calling
- Obtain medically necessary documentation and process patient orders through our online pharmacy system
- Resolve tracking issues and reschedule shipping orders for patients as needed
- Troubleshoot problems based on patient input and verify orders are complete
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure seamless operations
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Experience in the medical field and administrative record management preferred
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Helpful, knowledgeable, and polite with a positive attitude
- Interpret various communications, including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual
- Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion when handling sensitive information
- Knowledge of medical terminology an asset
- Multi-tasking and attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Self-motivation, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment and Benefits
Work Environment
- 100% remote work-from-home opportunity
- Must live in the US and within 60 miles of any Blithequark location
- Schedule: Five days a week, including every Saturday and Sunday, with three evening shifts during weekdays starting at or after 4:00 pm Central time
