Job Summary
The Part-Time Warehouse Attendant will play a vital role in receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Warehouse Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods, maintaining inventory records, and providing exceptional customer service to our internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
- Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas, ensuring proper presentation and portion control
- Places materials/goods on racks, shelves, and bins or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequences, such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly lines
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, conveying orders to packing stations or shipping departments
- Marks materials with identifying information and records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards
- Arranges stock parts in specified sequences for assembly by other workers and uses computers to enter records
- Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications and drives vehicles to transport stored items or pick up items
- Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments and prepares parcels for mailing
- Maintains inventory records, ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, and follows HACCP standards
- Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others, abiding by all company policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper lifting techniques
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management environment, preferably in the food service or hospitality industry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external clients
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on efficiency and productivity
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a refrigerated environment
- Personal commitment to safety and a clean work environment
Preferred Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in a related field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or hospitality
