Atkins, a renowned design, engineering, and project management consultancy, is seeking an experienced Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our esteemed Nuclear Team. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Intermediate Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design and development of electrical systems for nuclear power plants. This is a remote position based out of our Oak Ridge, TN office, offering a unique opportunity to work on complex projects and collaborate with a talented team of professionals. As an integral part of our Nuclear Team, you will be responsible for performing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of electrical systems, including definition of system functional and performance requirements and environmental and seismic qualification.
To be considered for this role, you must have a degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, along with at least eight years of relevant experience in the nuclear industry as a design or system engineer. You should possess thorough knowledge of electrical system functions, configurations, and equipment as used in nuclear power plants, including safety and non-safety related systems. Additionally, you should have experience with analysis software used in electrical engineering, such as ETAP, EDSA, or EMTP-RV.
To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills. You should be a results-driven individual with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additionally, you should be eligible for security clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) and be a U.S. citizen.
