This remote accountant position is responsible for the accounting capabilities associated with sales and use tax assessment and permit to operate compliance processes. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of general ledger data analysis and the ability to create monthly data files that accommodate the general ledger for our co-source charge compliance supplier. As a key member of our Corporate Expense Division, you will work closely with Senior Duty Accountants to ensure the completion of daily accounting and tax activities. This position requires the ability to work in a team environment, adhere to deadlines, and demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills.
This position typically reports to a Senior Manager. This job has no direct reports.
Regularly requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position, and there is a regular opportunity to move about. Occasionally, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be rare and not objectionable. Models include phone operator and document agent.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities are normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. A minimum of 2 years of work experience in accounting is required.
