**Job Responsibilities**
As an Experienced Full Stack Software Engineer – Fleet Analytics and Data Engineering, you'll be responsible for:
* Working with stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain complex software systems that leverage vehicle data to drive business insights and decision-making
* Providing guidance and support to arenaflex's data engineering and IT network on best practices and emerging technologies
* Collaborating with engineers to develop and deploy software packages and tools that enable data-driven decision-making
* Writing reproducible data analysis code using modern open-source technologies to extract insights from large datasets
* Summarizing and communicating data analysis results to stakeholders, including assumptions and limitations
* Building data pipelines to optimize the performance and accuracy of data analysis work across the organization
* Designing and implementing metrics, packages, and tools to enable engineers to self-serve their data insights
* Writing clean, tested, and maintainable code that can be extended by other software engineers
**What You'll Bring**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* 7+ years of software development experience in a related field
* Strong skills in Python, SQL, and data processing engines like Apache Spark
* Experience with data science tools and technologies, including Pandas, NumPy, R, Matlab, Octave, and Jupyter notebooks
* A strong foundation in statistics and data analysis
* Experience building data visualizations and writing software in a professional environment
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong problem-solving skills to help refine problem statements and determine solutions using available data and first principles
* A smart and humble approach, with a bias for action
**Nice to Have**
While not required, the following skills and experiences would be a plus:
* Strong skills in Scala
* Understanding of distributed computing, including HDFS, Spark, and Presto
* Experience with DevOps tools, such as Linux, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes
* Experience with complex hardware systems
* Experience with continuous integration and continuous development
