**Job Description:**
We're seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor, VFX Pipeline Management, to oversee all aspects of the VFX process on a slate of movie projects. As a key member of our VFX team, you'll work closely with production groups, Studio innovative Executives, and Finance to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient project management. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the visual effects of our original movies, from script development to post-production.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Oversee all components of the VFX process on a slate of movie projects as assigned by the Director, VFX
* Collaborate with production groups, Studio innovative Executives, and Finance to ensure efficient project management
* Study scripts, develop VFX breakdowns & budgets, and plan manufacturing/post-production
* Provide insights and comments on VFX's scope of work and feasibility
* Construct and manage the visual effects teams, including recruiting Supervisors, manufacturers, carriers, and negotiating with vendors
* Oversee agreement negotiations and liaise with legal to ensure compliance with costs and organizational regulations
* Handle VFX delivery progress and value file tracking, troubleshoot schedule and budget issues, and ensure manufacturing is running smoothly
* Support expanding and maintaining constant reporting on budget, schedule, and VFX development
* Work with the VFX manager and VFX producer to review VFX media and ensure high-quality work
* Gain knowledge of and network with new groups and up-and-comers, monitoring skills availability
* Stay up-to-date with technical knowledge of the visual effects process, including 4K pipelines and rising technologies for improving workflows
* Understand tax incentives and rebates
* Assist in crafting, implementing, and executing strategic tasks and branch workflows in alignment with the Director, VFX
**Qualifications:**
* 2+ years of experience in overseeing multiple projects at a time in managerial roles, including VFX producer, post manufacturer, VFX executive producer, VFX supervisor, etc.
* Passion for visual effects and the artistry that makes it possible
* Enjoy collecting and negotiating vendor bids, and budgeting for visual effects
* International relations and discretion in handling sensitive issues and confidential matters
* Superb communication and mastery of the ability to lead without authority
* Understanding of modern trends for VFX manufacturing workflows
* Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
* Preference and self-motivation to continuously analyze and improve processes
* Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask
