**Job Overview**
As a Product Design Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of home and music experiences. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, test, and refine new products that meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and user experience. **Key Responsibilities**
* Collaborate with Modern Design, Projects, and cross-functional design teams to develop innovative product concepts and solutions
* Conceptualize and design new products that meet the needs of our customers, with a focus on user experience, sustainability, and affordability
* Create, model, assess, and investigate new product designs using various tools and techniques
* Lead design reviews and contribute to peer design feedback sessions
* Present your work to cross-functional teams and leaders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
* Develop detailed specifications and drawings for product development
* Work with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to optimize product design for manufacturability, quality, and cost
* Conduct failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
* Approve and describe product designs through various iterations
* Foster deep technical expertise by taking products from concept to production
* Ensure that products meet corrective and functional requirements to deliver top-tier equipment to our customers
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* Strong foundation in design principles, with a passion for innovation and creativity
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* Experience creating parts and assemblies in 3D CAD software
* Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and other product development methodologies
* Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
* Adaptability and comfort working in a rapidly evolving environment
* Ability to travel globally (up to 20%)
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* Experience in product development, with a focus on home and music experiences
* Knowledge of 3D printing and additive manufacturing
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Scrum frameworks
* Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products
