**Job Responsibilities**
As a Staff Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leading data science initiatives, mentoring junior colleagues, and implementing best practices across the team. Your key responsibilities will include:
* **Data Source Identification**: Identify relevant data sources, define data requirements, and perform preliminary data quality checks.
* **Problem Formulation**: Analyze business problems, question assumptions, and recommend solutions using data analytics, machine learning, and automation.
* **Analytical Modeling**: Develop and deploy machine learning models, conduct exploratory data analysis, and create data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
* **Model Deployment & Scaling**: Work with MLOps to deploy models to production, track model performance, and identify areas for improvement.
* **Code Development & Testing**: Write code to develop and test data science solutions, create test cases, and contribute to code documentation.
* **Applied Business Acumen**: Evaluate business cases, influence stakeholder decision-making, and translate business needs into data science solutions.
* **Model Assessment & Validation**: Evaluate model performance, apply testing and tuning strategies, and ensure testing records are documented.
* **Data Visualization and Storytelling**: Create data visualizations, develop compelling stories, and present insights to various audiences.
**What You'll Bring**
* Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
* 4+ years of experience in an analytics-related field, with a strong background in machine learning, statistics, and data science.
* Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
* Ability to execute projects from start to finish, implement best practices in ML Ops, and communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience with cloud-based platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and containerization tools, such as Docker.
