About the Role

We are seeking an experienced financial analyst and data entry specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Pricing team, you will be responsible for determining and reporting merchant discount income, driving normalization and process improvement, and performing ad-hoc data analysis to assess rebate rate trends and uncover insights. This is a unique opportunity to influence multiple businesses and segments by aligning the organization's objective for profitable charge volume and merchant growth, strategic for the health of our business.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a Canada figure for merchant discount income and track monthly performance against forecast, identifying drivers of change.
• Develop merchant discount income scorecards for the Canada region.
• Drive standardization and process improvement among the different regional pricing teams for all reporting and forecasting related activities.
• Support external audits, including investigating issues found, contacting the regional pricing teams that manage the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing resolutions.
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess rebate rate trends and uncover insights.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• 2 years' experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other financial roles.
• A Bachelor's degree required; strongly preferred in Finance/Accounting/Business.
• High proficiency with Excel is required.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Strong analytical skills; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from a large amount of financial data. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required.
• Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
