**The Role**
As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in developing and implementing advanced data analytics and machine learning models to drive business growth and optimize retail operations. You'll work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify business challenges, design and implement data-driven solutions, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and implement advanced data analytics and machine learning models to drive business growth and optimize retail operations
* Collect, organize, analyze, interpret, and summarize large datasets to generate key insights and inform business decisions
* Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders to design and implement data-driven solutions
* Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including business leaders and technical teams
* Develop and maintain data pipelines, including data ingestion, processing, and storage
* Work with Hive or Hadoop, machine learning, text mining, and Spark to develop and deploy data science models
* Participate in the development of data science workflows, including data exploration, feature engineering, model development, and deployment
* Collaborate with engineering teams to address any issues in the production pipeline
* Productionize, audit, and track data science models in the online environment
**Requirements**
* Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field, and at least seven (7) years of experience as a data or machine learning scientist (any title) with a strong background in advanced data analytics and machine learning
* Experience with data mining, machine learning, or text mining, and the ability to apply mathematical concepts, algorithms, and computational complexity
* Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, R, SAS, and data manipulation
* Experience with risk evaluation and data visualization tools
* Ability to work with large datasets and develop data-driven solutions to business challenges
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
* Experience with data science tools and technologies, including Hive or Hadoop, machine learning, text mining, and Spark
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Doctorate (PhD) degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field, and at least four (4) years of experience as a data or machine learning scientist (any title) with a strong background in advanced data analytics and machine learning
* Experience with data science workflows, including data exploration, feature engineering, model development, and deployment
* Strong experience with data visualization tools and the ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms and the ability to develop and deploy data science models in a cloud environment
