Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced data entry and pharmacy technician professional to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state, federal, and company policies
- Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions
- Model and provide a unique and delightful customer experience, engaging customers and patients by greeting them and providing assistance with services and products
- Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers and resolve customer issues and answer inquiries to ensure a positive customer experience
- Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy
- Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow, and report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty
- Strictly adhere to the arenaflex Policy regarding good faith dispensing throughout all applicable prescription dispensing activities
- Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required, and take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in finding products
- Handle phone calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians
- Process manual claims for third-party application prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager
Essential Qualifications
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
- Preferred: six months of experience in a retail environment
- Preferred: previous work experience with arenaflex
- Preferred: desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
- Preferred: good computer skills
- Preferred: knowledge of store inventory control
- Preferred: PTCB certification
