Job Overview
This role is responsible for driving the end-to-end lifecycle of data management on various platforms, volumes, variety, and speed of data. As a Data Analyst and Information Management Specialist, you will work closely with all Data Science, AI, and Intelligence teams across the organization to enable model deployment, implement and maintain model accuracy, and monitor data flow. You will be responsible for understanding complex business problems and helping to translate business outcomes into data needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for acquiring data and performing thorough data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive complex self-service data integration projects that unite data from disparate sources to make it accessible to business users such as data scientists, analysts, and insights users.
- Lead informal teams to apply advanced data integration philosophies and tools to large datasets to create solutions that can be used in descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analysis.
- Drive communication with business leaders across multiple and simultaneous projects.
- Drive definition and communication of solutions and decisions.
- Serve as an informed authority for data assets and monitor the ongoing effectiveness of data assets being used by business users in self-service environments.
- Support the ongoing development of the blithequark data science center and community.
- May perform other work duties as directed by Supervisor's Managers.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Intermediate knowledge of both inductive and deductive reasoning and problem-solving approaches.
- Transitional knowledge in assessing and applying suitable data analysis and statistical method(s) for a business problem.
- Transitional knowledge of acquiring and consuming data in both social and non-SQL databases.
- Partial knowledge in integrating, storing, and processing large amounts of data necessary for analysis and modeling.
- Skilled in at least one data programming language and open-source tools.
- Skilled in at least one data integration and business intelligence tool.
- Skilled in technology platforms and models relevant to creating and maintaining self-service data assets.
- Talented in critical thinking and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate in a connecting way with strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to adapt well to different situations and change approaches/philosophy if necessary to actually and effectively meet goals.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience working with large datasets and data warehousing.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools.
- Certification in data analysis or a related field.
