Our organization is proud to be home to the Karmanos Cancer Institute, one of only 53 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the U.S. **Job Summary** As a Customer Service Representative with arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members and stakeholders via telephone, email, chat, and face-to-face interactions. Your primary focus will be on directing members to the proper services needed, educating them on our products and services, problem-solving, and creating linkages to our Medical Management Department for authorization of services. You may also be responsible for assisting providers with eligibility, benefit, and resolution of claims issues. **Key Responsibilities** * Respond to daily member telephone calls, providing timely and effective solutions to their inquiries and concerns * Direct members to the proper services needed, ensuring seamless navigation through our organization * Educate members on our products and services, addressing questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner * Problem-solve and troubleshoot issues, escalating complex cases to the Medical Management Department as needed * Create linkages to the Medical Management Department for authorization of services, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of member needs * Assist providers with eligibility, benefit, and resolution of claims issues, providing accurate and timely information * Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures * Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resolution of member issues **Essential Qualifications** * High School Diploma or equivalent certification * One (1) year experience in a customer service-related role with direct contact with customers via telephone, email, chat, and/or face-to-face * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse populations * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications **Preferred Qualifications** * One (1) year experience in a physician healthcare office environment or high-volume call center * One (1) year experience and knowledge of HMO, PPO, TPA, PHO, and Managed Care functions * Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software applications * Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR)) **Work Environment and Culture** As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, with the ability to balance work and personal responsibilities.
