Key Responsibilities
- Respond to telephone and email inquiries from members and providers within defined service standards, providing timely and accurate solutions to their questions and concerns.
- Negotiate with providers to gain acceptance for plans without network agreements and/or out-of-network providers, utilizing your excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Assist members with benefits and healthcare questions, providing clear and concise information to help them make informed decisions about their care.
- Document all calls received in our system-based call log, ensuring that all interactions are accurately recorded and easily accessible for future reference.
- Take initiative to resolve situations and accomplish project actions and tasks, demonstrating your ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Build relationships with internal and external customers, including members, providers, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Minimum HS Diploma/GED, with 2 years of college or higher education preferred.
- One year of customer service or call center experience in a healthcare-related role, with medical intake or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) experience preferred.
- Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus, as we strive to provide support to our diverse customer base.
- Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations tactfully and diplomatically.
