About the Role
As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot, you will be responsible for providing high-quality educational experiences for students in the absence of their regular teacher. You will be working in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about education. Your duties will include:
- Teaching and instructing students in a variety of subjects, including math, science, English, and social studies
- Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Building positive relationships with students, staff, and the school community
- Managing classroom behavior and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Communicating effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- A background in and/or passion for education

Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- A 30 Day Substitute Teaching Permit or CA Teaching Credential
- Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
- Ability to speak multiple languages

Compensation and Benefits
As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot, you can earn up to $4000 per month, working five days a week. You will also receive:
- Competitive daily pay rates, up to $245 per day
- Weekly deposits and paid training opportunities
- Referral bonuses of $100 for each friend you refer to Scoot who works 10 shifts
- Zero costs for onboarding, including state-required health screenings and tests
