Experienced Accountant for CAS - Macon, GA

Job Details Job Location 02 Macon - Macon, GA Description Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC is seeking an Outsourced Accountant for their Macon, Georgia office. We are a Top 100 CPA Firm and have been one continuous entity since 1918. • Work with a team of accountants working in a cloud-based environment to deliver superior outsourced accounting and operational services. • Perform monthly general ledger close out to provide financial reports and provide meaningful management reports. This may include performing other tasks such as accounts payable processing and account reconciliations. • Review other staff's work to ensure the highest quality service to our clients. • Demonstrate thorough understanding of professional accounting and bookkeeping practices. • Keep abreast of the latest developments in technologies and accounting standards to deliver outstanding quality service. • Proactively identify client issues, communicate and implement timely solutions. • While the opportunity is to work in the firm's Macon office, there is a little flexibility to work remotely on occasion. Qualifications • The qualified candidate must have the following experience and attributes: • A Bachelor degree in Accounting preferred. CPA or equivalent certification a plus. • 3+ years of related accounting experience. • Commitment to consistently follow established policies and procedures and contribute to the evolution of these procedures. • Experience and hands on ability to close books, and perform most accounting functions including AP, and AR. Confidence in learning and embracing new technology including Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a results-driven, team-oriented environment. • Communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
