Tayco is a company focused on operational performance metrics, and they are seeking a Data Analyst & IT Support to gather, analyze, and report data. This role involves supporting the Operations Team with actionable insights and ensuring data integrity through various responsibilities. Responsibilities - Gather data from internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness - Clean, organize, and maintain datasets to ensure data integrity and consistency - Use database management tools to efficiently store, retrieve, and manage data - Analyze datasets using statistical methods to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights - Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python, or R to communicate findings effectively - Identify and address business challenges through data-driven solutions and recommendations - Create and deliver comprehensive reports summarizing key metrics, trends, and actionable insights - Present findings to stakeholders clearly and concisely, enabling informed decision-making - Monitor and analyze performance indicators, providing regular updates and insights - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and gather requirements - Translate business objectives into clear, actionable data requirements - Support data-driven decision-making across departments by providing reliable and timely analysis - Apply predictive modeling, trend analysis, and other statistical techniques to forecast and optimize outcomes - Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation through data insights - Responding in a timely manner to IT related issues and requests - Installing and configuring computer hardware (printers, scanners, tablets, etc.) and/or software (Office, ERP, Solidworks, etc.) - Providing technical support and training across the company (in person or over the phone, teams) - Creating accounts for new hires and deleting/disabling them upon departure to maintain security - Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary - Testing new technology - Other duties as required Skills - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field - Experience in data analysis or a related field (or equivalent academic experience) - Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleaning and manipulation - Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) - Experience with databases and querying languages (e.g., SQL) - Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R) - Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills - Experience with statistical analysis and modeling - Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Proficiency with SmartSheet is an asset Benefits - Flexible work arrangements (work from the office 1 day per week after Orientation) - Active Social Committee with wonderful company culture - Active Inclusion, Diversity, Engagement, and Accessibility Committee with monthly initiatives to promote inclusivity - Opportunities for growth and development - Great team to work with!
