CPA / EA / Tax Attorney/Strategist Needed to Review Tax Strategy Book Before Publication

Apply Now
I'm an established self-published author with multiple bestsellers in the business and money category. I'm currently finalizing my latest book, a comprehensive tax strategy guide designed for anyone who pays taxes in America and wants to keep more of their money. I'm looking for qualified tax professionals to perform a thorough technical review before publication. About the Book The book is aimed at W-2 employees, freelancers, side hustlers, and small business owners with little to no tax planning experience. It covers the full arc of personal and small business tax strategy across 15 chapters, from how the tax system works and common mistakes through retirement accounts, Roth conversions, investing, side business deductions, entity structure, real estate, estate planning, audit defense, and choosing a tax professional. It closes with a 30-day action plan and a free interactive AI-powered tax analysis tool included as a bonus. The writing style is conversational and beginner-friendly, not a dense reference manual. It uses consistent fictional personas with real dollar amounts throughout, and all figures reflect current tax law including changes from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. What I'm Looking For I need 7 qualified tax professionals to review the entire manuscript. I'm looking for a mix of CPAs, Enrolled Agents, Tax Attorneys, and Tax Strategists to ensure the book is reviewed from multiple angles. Specifically: - Content accuracy: Verify that all tax concepts, strategies, and rules are explained correctly and in line with current federal tax law. Flag anything that is incorrect, misleading, oversimplified to the point of being wrong, or that could expose a reader to risk if followed as written. - Numerical accuracy: Check that all dollar amounts, tax brackets, contribution limits, phase-out thresholds, and worked examples are correct and internally consistent. The book references specific figures (standard deductions, 401(k) limits, HSA limits, capital gains thresholds, estate tax exemptions, etc.) that must be verified against current IRS guidance. - Strategy legitimacy: Assess whether every strategy in the book would pass the "conservative CPA test." If any recommendation is aggressive, gray-area, or could draw IRS scrutiny beyond what a typical taxpayer should accept, flag it. This book is not meant to push boundaries. It is meant to help ordinary people claim what they are legally entitled to. - Content recommendations: Flag any areas where important information is missing and should be added, or where content is unnecessary and could be trimmed, always with the target audience (beginners) in mind. - Beginner suitability: Assess whether the explanations, progression, and examples genuinely work for someone with no tax knowledge beyond filing a basic return. Would a first-time reader actually walk away understanding these strategies well enough to act on them or have an informed conversation with their tax professional? Deliverables Please provide your feedback directly in the manuscript using comments and suggestions in Google Docs. The file will be shared via Google Drive. Editorial Review & Credit In addition to the technical review, if you find the book to be accurate, well-structured, and genuinely valuable for its intended audience, I would ask you to write a brief editorial review that may be used for marketing purposes. You would also be credited by name and credentials inside the book as the professional reviewer. This is entirely at your discretion, only if you genuinely believe the book merits it. I understand this may fall outside your typical scope of work, but it represents an excellent opportunity to increase your professional visibility and credibility. Your name and credentials will appear in a book positioned to reach thousands of readers who are actively looking for qualified tax professionals. Qualifications I'm looking for candidates with one or more of the following: - CPA (Certified Public Accountant) with experience in individual and/or small business tax planning and preparation - EA (Enrolled Agent) with active IRS enrollment and practical tax preparation experience - Tax Attorney (JD with tax specialization or LLM in Taxation) - Tax Strategist or Tax Planner with demonstrated expertise in proactive tax planning for individuals and small businesses Experience working with W-2 employees, freelancers, sole proprietors, S-Corps, rental property owners, or estate planning is a strong plus - Experience in tax education, content review, or published tax writing is also valued To Apply Please include in your proposal: Your relevant credentials (CPA, EA, JD, or equivalent) and a brief summary of your professional background The types of clients you primarily work with (individuals, small businesses, real estate investors, etc.) Any experience reviewing educational or published tax content (if applicable) Your estimated turnaround time Deadline: 2 weeks from project start. I'm looking for someone thorough and detail-oriented. This is not a quick skim, it's a real technical review that will directly shape the final quality of the book. Thank you for your time.
