About the company
Our client is an internationally focused interactive entertainment business producing premium digital game content for global audiences. It operates in a high-velocity, product-first environment where Product, Engineering, and Creative work closely to ship frequent releases. As the company expands into more regulated markets, they are appointing their first senior Compliance hire to establish a durable, scalable compliance framework that enables smoother launches across jurisdictions.
The
opportunity
This is a “build-from-zero” leadership role. As Compliance Director, you’ll design and run the compliance function end-to-end—creating a single source of truth for multi-market requirements, embedding compliance into build-and-release workflows, and working closely with Product and Engineering so launches stay on track. You’ll also oversee coordination with external testing, audit, and certification partners to keep products market-ready in priority regions.
Core responsibilities
• Create and maintain a multi-jurisdiction compliance library (clear, traceable, versioned, and easy for teams to use)
• Translate regulatory obligations into product requirements; identify conflicts, overlaps, and missing coverage
• Integrate compliance checkpoints into the SDLC and release cadence, including change control for updates
• Surface risks early and convert complex requirements into practical implementation actions
• Lead external lab / certification management: submissions, test schedules, progress reporting, and issue follow-ups
What we’re looking for
• 10–15+ years’ experience in compliance and regulatory execution for digital products across multiple markets
• Strong capability in process design, documentation standards, requirements tracking, and operational set-up
• Comfortable operating as a solo senior owner initially, with potential to scale a function and team
• Confident cross-functional collaborator with Product and Engineering stakeholders
Nice-to-have / strong advantage
Direct experience with compliance and/or certification for RNG-driven interactive products (e.g., slot-style mechanics or similar), including working with accredited labs, technical audits, and teams shipping on a rapid release cycle.
