Class 2 Driver - Tewkesbury ID-1616 – Amazon Store

If you are an individual who has a minimum of 6 months HGV experience looking for more of a work life balance, then we may have the perfect opportunity for you! Join our team as a Class 2 Driver where you will join our national client at their site in Tewkesbury.

This is an ongoing position where our client is looking at taking those who get on well on permanently!

What you will do:

• Delivering white goods of various sizes to high street stores and customer homes - all goods are loaded onto the vehicle by the warehouse directly.
• May be required to transport items to the customer's room of choice and sometimes will be handing packages directly to individuals kerbside.
• Handle multidrop deliveries, with the number of stops varying daily - typically this will be 10 drops per shift.
• Using sack barrow as required to offload the heavier items.
• Use a handheld scanner and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Communicate with customers on a face-to-face basis.
• Safely operate the delivery vehicle, adhering to business standards and protocols.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA regulations.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills and a positive demeanour are required for direct interaction with customers.
• HGV 2 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
• Minimum 6 months Class 2 experience
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
• Multidrop delivery experience.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
• A can-do attitude.
