Position Overview
We’re seeking an Insurance Follow-up Representative to join our team. In this role, you’ll handle insurance claims and denials, follow up promptly with payers, and resolve issues through clear communication with insurance companies, providers, and patients. You’ll keep accurate records, track progress, and help improve processes for faster claim resolution. Join MedSrv and be part of a mission-driven team guided by faith, integrity, and compassion.
What You’ll Do
- Review and correct claims in work queues; rebill or appeal as needed within set timelines.
- Communicate with insurance payers, providers, and patients to resolve disputes and ensure accurate claim processing.
- Research missing payments and post them to the correct accounts.
- Handle claim issues such as tertiary billing, W9 requests, WC/MVA claims, refunds, duplicate charges, and out-of-network verification.
- Coordinate with practices to request or provide necessary corrections.
- Track and report denial or payment trends to management.
- Meet productivity and performance goals within 90 days of employment.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience required.
- Must have the ability to get along with others in a close office setting.
- Must work efficiently at home meeting requirements.
- Must have the ability to concentrate for extended periods of time.
- Must be willing to function and cooperate as member of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Able to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
