• *About the Company**
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented, tech‑savvy
• *Bookkeeper / Controller**
to manage day-to-day accounting and vendor interactions. You will own invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and bookkeeping in QuickBooks while supporting legacy AccountEdge processes. The former Controller is retiring after 12 years and we are looking for their successor!
• *FULLY REMOTE!!!
• *Key Responsibilities
• Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping: post AR/AP, process invoices, cash receipts, vendor payments, and bank deposits.
• Manage invoicing and collections; prepare and send customer invoices and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements, balance sheet accounts, and month-end close tasks.
• Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Support payroll data entry/coordination (if using third-party payroll provider).
• Manage vendor relationships: onboarding, invoice resolution, payment scheduling.
• Work primarily in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) and support/maintain processes in AccountEdge; assist with data migration/integration as needed.
• Prepare month-end reports and basic financial reports for management.
• Identify process improvements and implement automation or better workflows.
• Ensure accurate documentation and electronic file management.
• Support external accountants for audits and tax preparation as needed
• *Qualifications**
• 3+ years bookkeeping experience (small business or agency preferred).
• Strong, hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop).
• Working knowledge of AccountEdge or willingness to learn legacy systems.
• Proficient with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/formulas) and comfortable adopting new tools.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills for vendor and internal stakeholder interaction
