Associate Manager, Fund Finance & Operations

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Monitor daily trading and margin reporting provided by the fund administrator, prime brokers, and trading counterparties • Conduct ad hoc research across multiple industries including but not limited to life sciences, joint ventures, and real estate • Perform financial and operational analyses to evaluate new and existing investment opportunities • Support Tang Capital portfolio companies in strategic finance initiatives and operational improvements • Perform complex investment analysis and report findings/suggestions to executive leadership • Assist with various fund operations, financial analysis, and treasury processes, including daily cash management, budgeting, forecasting, valuations and FX hedging • Serve as a business analyst to identify and implement software system improvements and automation projects to accommodate growing business strategy complexities • Prepare/ analyze various weekly, monthly, and quarterly investor reports • Respond to ad hoc investor data requests and day-to-day investor inquiries • Assist with preparing, reviewing fund models • Represent Operations to other groups throughout the firm, such as the Investment Committee and Technology, on topics ranging from liquidity to fund formation to NAV review automation REQUIREMENTS: 2+ years of experience either coming for national public accounting firm (with alternative investment clients) or accounting/finance from a competitor Apply Job!
