This position is located in St. Paul and may have the ability to telework. This position is a temporary position anticipated to last for two years. This position exists for two years to support the implementation of new grant-related tracking and outreach requirements within the Pesticide and Fertilizer Management Division (PFMD). Additionally, this program will manage the two-year biofertilizer program, which requires support to monitor outputs and interact with grantees. The incumbent will coordinate across internal teams and external partners, including local government units, the University of Minnesota, and individual farmers, to ensure consistent documentation, communication, and reporting of program activities. This position will not serve as a technical lead but will provide essential project coordination, administrative support, and relationship management to help PFMD adapt to evolving expectations and workloads. The position is expected to last two years with the possibility to extend, based on funding. • *Minimum Qualifications** • *_To facilitate proper years of service crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held._** One year of experience in project coordination or grant management. OR A bachelor's degree in agriculture, environmental sciences, or a closely related field. AND + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and collaborative tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams). + Experience preparing written reports and delivering presentations to diverse audiences. + Knowledge of administrative processes related to grants and contracts. + Must currently possess and maintain an active/valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record subject to review + The ability to celebrate diversity and a strong commitment to a respectful and inclusive work environment. • *Preferred Qualifications** + A master's degree in agriculture, environmental sciences, or a closely related field. + More than one year of experience in grant management or project coordination. + Experience working with agricultural programs or environmental initiatives. + Knowledge of agricultural systems and fertilizer formulations. + Familiarity with state or federal grant management requirements. + Experience working with agricultural stakeholders such as farmers, local government units, or industry partners. • *Physical Requirements** This position is primarily office-based, requiring extended periods of computer use and occasional in-state travel for meetings or outreach.
