Accounting Consultant (Work Remotely)

Role Snapshot: Company: Workwarp Position: Accounting Consultant Location: Remote Compensation: a competitive salary Start Date: Immediate openings available   Primary Purpose: Work in a fast-paced, highly demanding virtual or home-based work environment. Under the direction of the Outsourced Chief Financial Officer, provide accounting and financial management support for Corporate F.A.C.T.S. non-profit or government clients. Primary responsibilities include payables, payroll and receivables transaction processing, general accounting, and management... support. Key Accountabilities: ??Process accounts payable transactions, including assigning appropriate account codes, general ledger transactions, communicating with vendors and processing checks. ??Process cash receipts transactions, including tally of cash collections, preparation of bank deposits, entering receipts into accounting system. ??Process payroll, including timesheet collection, transmitting data to payroll service, preparing, and entering journal entries into accounting system. ??Prepare monthly grant/contract billing requests. ??Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations. ??Prepare monthly invoices. ??Provide support to Chief Financial Officer for month-end closing activities. ??Assist with preparation for annual audit. ??Work independently in a remote/virtual home-based environment ??Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: A successful candidate must have the following expertise and experience: ??A successful candidate must have the following education/expertise and experience: ??Minimum three years' experience working in the accounting field performing accounts payable, receivables, and payroll. ??QuickBooks, MIP and property management software such as Yardi experience preferred. ??Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Desired Qualifications: ??MIP experience and property management software experience preferred.
