Job Description: We're seeking a highly motivated and skilled Machine Learning Scientist to join our team at Netflix, the world's leading streaming entertainment service. As a Machine Learning Scientist, you will play a key role in driving the success of our content release operations and discovery on our platform. This is a remote, entry-level position with a night shift schedule, offering a competitive salary of $75,000 per year. About the Role: As a Machine Learning Scientist, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders in Product Discovery and Marketing to analyze content release operations and identify impactful problems to solve through scalable machine learning solutions. You will design and develop innovative systems and models that empower decision-making for stakeholders and product functions, leveraging a wide range of metadata and media gathered from and generated by our productions throughout their end-to-end lifecycle. Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze content release operations and identify areas for improvement Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to drive decision-making and optimize content discovery Work with cross-functional teams to operationalize models and integrate them into operational workflows Serve as a key concept partner for stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and team members regarding machine learning algorithms and solutions Requirements: Ph.D. or MS degree in a quantitative or computational discipline 3+ years of full-time work experience in one or more relevant machine learning roles Practical and significant experience in supervised and unsupervised machine learning strategies Knowledge of statistical analysis methods, including regression analysis, statistical inference, and forecasting Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or R Excellent written and oral communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences Passion for and alignment with Netflix culture About Netflix: Netflix is a global entertainment streaming service with over 200 million paid memberships in over 190 countries.
