About the Position The Data Analytics Consulting Analyst/Associate position is designed for candidates graduating in December 2024 or Summer 2025, who are eager to apply their analytical skills to enhance clients' understanding of key business, risk, strategic, or regulatory issues. As a Data Analytics Consulting Analyst/Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, manipulating and analyzing large volumes of disparate data, often exceeding 100 million records, to develop critical insights for clients facing business disputes, regulatory matters, or complex litigation. Key Responsibilities Apply data analytics to drive business insights : Use data analytics to enhance clients' understanding of key business, risk, strategic, or regulatory issues. Analyze large datasets : Manipulate and analyze large volumes of disparate data (>100MM records) to develop critical insights for clients' issues. Build statistical and machine learning models : Build statistical and machine learning models, or custom visualizations and applications to detect patterns, trends, outliers, and drivers among relevant business issues. Apply predictive analytics and machine learning techniques : Apply predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning/deep learning techniques for various applications, including recommender systems and financial crime detection. Communicate findings effectively : Communicate findings from analyses to team members through visuals, data tables, and models, and assist with the development of final deliverables, reports, and presentations to clients. Collaborate with stakeholders : Work closely with business stakeholders and experts to develop new and innovative tools to support the evolving data landscape. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative research field such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Machine Learning, Management Information Systems, or Security Information Systems. Experience with relational database systems such as MS SQL Server or Oracle Database. Programming skills : Experience in executing data science methodologies using programming languages like Python, R, SAS, VBA, or Scala. Data visualization skills : Experience in data visualization using tools like Power BI, Tableau, D3.js, Qlik Sense, HTML/JavaScript. Cloud-based platforms experience : Experience in cloud-based platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS RedShift, Qubole, Azure). Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques : Knowledge of Natural Language Processing & Text Mining, Experimental Design, Bayesian Networks, or Network/Graph Mining. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills : Curious and analytical thinkers with creative approaches to non-standard problems. Effective communication skills : Effective written and oral communication skills. Eagerness to learn : Eagerness to learn new skills and programming languages. Leadership and teamwork skills : Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership, and strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities. Time management and prioritization skills : Excellent time management and task prioritization skills. Nice-to-Haves Experience in broader analytics areas : Experience in broader analytics areas such as Data Engineering, Social Listening, Optimization, or Simulation. Clear interest in consulting : Clear and demonstrated interest in consulting through coursework, work experience, activities, or attendance at CRA recruiting events.
