Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Base Specialty Boiler Room Technician to join our team in San Francisco, USA. As a Boiler Room Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our aircraft's boiler systems, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on boiler systems, including water treatment, safety valves, and control instruments Analyze and troubleshoot issues with boiler systems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Perform tests and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including test results, instrument readings, and equipment performance Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and implement process improvements Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred 2+ years of experience as a boiler technician or in a related field Valid driver's license (no suspensions or revocations) 10-year record of safe driving Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen Position-specific clearances may be required, including FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal Service clearances Preferred Qualifications Experience working with high-pressure steam or hot water boilers Knowledge of boiler operations, maintenance, and repair Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and teamwork skills What We're Looking For At United Airlines, we value diversity, equity, and inclusion.
