You will be responsible for transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems, creating spreadsheets, verifying data, and performing regular backups to ensure data preservation. If you possess excellent typing skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of data confidentiality principles, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Responsibilities** As a Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include: * Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners * Typing in data provided directly from customers * Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes * Verifying data by comparing it to source documents * Updating existing data * Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested * Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation * Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost **Requirements and Skills** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: * Proven experience as a data entry clerk * Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred * Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.) * Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices * Basic understanding of databases * Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills * Great attention to detail * High school degree or equivalent **Available Shifts and Compensation** As a remote Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own space. Available shifts are Monday to Friday, excluding Sundays and Saturdays.
